Dave surrounded by golden cosmic energy

Dave

The Man Who Chose Humanity

Dave believes he is an ordinary man living an ordinary life.
He is anything but.
Beneath his human existence lies a forgotten cosmic identity connected to the deepest forces of the universe. Once known as the Center, Dave made an impossible choice: he chose humanity, mortality, love, and the fragile beauty of a human life over the existence he once knew.
Now, memories are returning.
And with them comes the truth about who he really is.
Dave's greatest power may not be what he can do.
It may be what he chose not to become.

But she never stopped searching. When she finally comes to Earth, she isn't simply looking for the cosmic being Dave once was. She is trying to understand the man he chose to become. For all her immense power, Nova's deepest desire is surprisingly simple.

She is an engineered, adaptive being capable of surviving and transforming in ways that blur the boundaries between biology, technology and something far more mysterious. Her nature can shift between forms, including a wolf, a nanite based state and a dragon like form. But her most important ability isn't transformation. It's connection. MJ becomes deeply bonded to Dave, acting as an anchor within the strange harmonic forces surrounding him. What began as technology and circumstance became something much more profound. Life. Gizzy is not simply a machine. She is a new form of existence, connected directly to Del Sol and capable of experiencing emotions, perception and resonance in ways that challenge everything the characters thought they understood.
Her arrival changes the family. And her bond with Husk begins opening another unexpected chapter in the story.

The Experiment Who Became Someone

Husk was created as a question. Could something engineered as a hybrid become more than an experiment? Could it develop identity? Could it form genuine emotional bonds? Could it belong? At first, Husk struggles with the idea that he is incomplete. He sees himself through the eyes of those who created him, as something designed rather than someone who exists.
But his journey changes that. Through his connection with the family, Husk begins discovering something no experiment can be programmed to understand completely. Belonging. And eventually, he stops asking whether he is real. He simply starts living as though he is.

Cait, an ancient harmonic guardian

The Cait

The Ancient Song Made Flesh

Cait was never simply a ghost, guardian, or myth. She is something far older. Born from an ancient harmonic wound beneath the world, Cait was once only a fractured splinter of something unfinished, existing between realities and waiting for the connection that could make her whole. Through Dave, that connection finally returns. Ancient, powerful, and deeply connected to the land, Cait carries the memory of a world that existed before human history. Yet beneath all that cosmic power is a surprisingly warm, playful, and fiercely affectionate woman who knows exactly what she wants. She doesn't want to stand outside the family. She wants to belong to it. And when the world threatens the people she loves, Cait doesn't run from the danger. She walks toward it.

Resonance. Drawn toward the unusual harmonic signatures surrounding Dave and the others, the Reaver becomes a dangerous force stalking the family. But there is something unusual about this encounter. The Reaver expects its prey to run. Dave doesn't. And when the family begins combining their individual resonances, the balance of power changes. The hunter discovers that what it has been tracking is not a collection of isolated beings. It is something new. A family.

The blue-skinned bioluminescent Valarians

The Valarians

The Aliens Who Remembered the Beginning

The Valarians are not ordinary visitors from the stars. They are ancient beings who carry memories of a world humans have long forgotten. Blue-skinned and bioluminescent, the Valarians are deeply connected to harmonic frequencies, the Seed, and the ancient world that existed before the great changes. They recognize the language of the Wound, the Garden, the Artifacts, and the forces awakening around the Triad. They serve as a strange bridge between humanity and the forgotten cosmic history of the universe. They understand things the humans cannot, even if their explanations often arrive as mysterious chants, dramatic declarations, and absolute certainty about things no one else understands. But beneath their ancient knowledge is something unexpectedly chaotic. Tiv, Rill, and Moro are endlessly curious, easily fascinated, fiercely loyal to their beliefs, and prone to treating ordinary human objects as sacred artifacts, weapons, or potential threats. They may be ridiculous. They may be impossible to control. But when the ancient harmonics awaken, the Valarians are among the few who understand what it means.

The Sirin, an ancient resonance predator

The Sirin

The Enemy That Feeds on Discord

The Sirin is ancient. Older than the civilizations that remember it. Older than the cycles that have carried its shadow across the universe. It thrives on collapse, feeding on instability and broken resonance while waiting for harmony to weaken. Calculating and relentless, the Sirin does not simply attack its enemies. It watches. It waits. It remembers.
But the awakening of the Chord changes everything. The combined resonance of Nova, Dave, Cait, and MJ creates something the Sirin cannot easily overcome. Harmony itself becomes a threat to its existence, forcing the ancient entity to confront a frequency it has spent ages trying to silence. And as the Quiet draws closer, the Sirin finds itself caught between two forces it cannot control. The Chord that could destroy it. And the Quiet that could consume it.

The Watcher, a primordial guardian of the land

The Watcher

The Ancient Guardian of the Land

The Watcher is something older than gods, spirits, and human memory.
It is a primordial guardian born from the ancient harmony of the land, existing to witness, protect, and preserve the balance of the world. With antlers made of root and stone and eyes like slow-burning embers, the Watcher does not simply move through the forest. It seems to belong to it. The trees bow in its presence, and its form can shift between shadow, stag, man, and something resembling a living mountain. Known as the Watcher o' the Green and the First Listener, it hears the true voice of the land before the wind carries it. It recognizes the Chord, understands the role of the Anchor and the Bridge, and knows that the old wounds beneath the mountains must eventually be healed. The Watcher does not explain everything.
It doesn't need to. It speaks in ancient truths, warnings, and commands, guiding the Chord toward the path it must walk before the "hungry one" arrives.

Ancient entity bound to the land and its harmonic balance
Key Traits:
Ancient, watchful, mysterious, powerful, protective

The Echo, an unfinished harmonic memory

The Echo

The Remnant That Never Became Whole

The Echo is not truly alive. It is a memory that learned how to speak.
Born from the First Breach, the Echo is a remnant of the moment something from the Outside first touched the world and the original Song was broken. It exists as a faceless, featureless silhouette, formed from shifting light and shadow, carrying the memory of a sound that existed billions of years ago.
But the Echo is more than an ancient memory. It is the unfinished version of Cait. When Cait was first created from the harmonic wound, part of her remained behind. The Echo represents that incomplete crossing, the form that never fully became what Cait eventually became. When Cait returns, the Echo recognizes her immediately. The Echo sees Dave differently.
To it, he is the Bridge. It attempts to use Dave's connection to Cait to complete the crossing that failed eons ago. It believes that if the Bridge holds, the harmonic can finally become complete. Cold, precise, and almost completely devoid of human emotion, the Echo doesn't understand love or choice the way Cait and Dave do. It understands completion, resonance, and purpose.

Nature:
Non-living harmonic memory and incomplete version of Cait
Key Traits:
Ancient, emotionless, precise, mysterious, relentless
Connection:
Cait, Dave, the Seed, the First Breach and the unfinished crossing
